I'm sitting here writing up the award applications for Convention 2010 Awards and I'm not sure if we can top last convention (three awards including a Crescent Chapter award!!!), but I'm sure willing to try it. There are so many cool things about our chapter that my brain is turning to mush as I'm hoping I "get it all down" for the Awards Committee.

Variety of membership? Oh yeah, we've got that! In November, three of us walked in St. Jude's Give Thanks. Walk. and marvelled that we had one in her 20s, one in her 30s and one in her 40s. Next year we want to add more of the "later" decades -- maybe we can set up a snack/drink table on the far side of the walk with some of our sisters from Robin Run across the street from the park where we were walking? -- and certainly add more in the decades we have as well.

Variety of activities? We've got that too -- dinners out, service projects, events with our local collegiate chapter, Spa Day ... Ohhh Spa Day, how I need thee!... Tri Delta celebrations, Lunchtime Ladies and more! It's quite a list to choose from, and there really is something for everyone.

Opportunities to assist collegians? You bet! In fact, we're lending some extra support to the Rose-Hulman ladies these days as well. No sense in depriving them of the Indianapolis Alumnae Founders' Day experience, is there?

Okay, back to these award applications. And to tell those kids of mine who are supposed to be napping that jumping around their rooms isn't necessarily a part of naptime.
