Our Tri Delta year follows the school year, so last night we planned the 2009-2010 year, and is it ever exciting! There are a lot of things that you won't want to miss!

We're half-way through the Tri Delta year, but it's never too late to find your place with Indy Tri Delta!

It sure feels like spring, and Saturday's Pansy-Violet Luncheon at the Woodstock Club was a great way to celebrate the season -- and the sisterhood!

Recent news events have once again cast a negative light on the Greek system. What can we do to make things better?

One-hundred eighteen years ago this month, Tri Delta was founded. In 2006, we still remember what our founders did in creating a society that looked not at outward appearances, but at the true beauty of a person.

September kicks off a new year of Indy Tri Delta! You should have received a newsletter recently, and it's full of great ways to get involved. Haven't paid dues in a few years? Now's a great time to start!

Keeping up-to-date, reflecting on painting pottery at our summer event, and looking ahead to the Kick-Off Brunch at Gail's. Lots of good stuff; check this one out. PLUS: Convention awards!!!

But that doesn't mean you should be forgetting Tri Delta! We've still got several things coming up, including the Pansy/Violet Luncheon on April 29. This is a great time to greet some of the collegiates and their mothers who might choose to join Tri Psi, the sorority for mothers of Tri Deltas! Our few but committed Tri Psis have kept going through the time when we had no Butler chapter and are excited to have new mothers to join now!

Also, the Circle Degree for graduating seniors will follow the luncheon. What better way to welcome these new alumnae into the fun and sisterhood after college than to stay and join us for this ritual?

The Golden Circle Luncheon is in June; those who are eligible to attend (50+ year members) will receive invitations. We have a terrific and vibrant group of Golden Circle initiates.

Finally, don't forget that we have room for new faces on our executive committee! We need a new Continuing Education chair and Founders' Day coordinator. Hey there, new alumnae, how...

Last night's Chocolate Lovers' Night was yet another great time with Tri Delta! Of course there was chocolate galore: chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip blondie bars, chocolate chip "cheese" ball, truffles, brownies, ooey-gooey chocolate/caramel/nut/yummy things (yes, folks Valerie was there), brownie/pudding/whipped cream/raspberry yumminess -- clearly I didn't get the proper names for everything but I think I tried almost everything despite my temporary lack of the normal extreme sweet tooth.

Besides the gooooood food, we had a ton of fun scattering foam shapes to the four corners of Christine Schmidt's house as we decorated picture frames for the kids at Riley. Some of us remain more creative than others, but there were frames with all manner of themes, from space to girl power to cows to pets to friends and everything in between. We finished some 120 frames, meaning there'll be more to work on at Lunchtime Ladies in March.

Hey Deltas! Welcome to the new website for the Indianapolis Alumnae Chapter, IndyTriDelta.org. We hope that this new website will be a way to keep even more members informed of what's going on, and add more sisters to the terrific activities we've got.
